Clinical Laboratory Scientist – Microbiology

We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform routine and specialized laboratory assays on patient specimens across all sections of the Clinical Laboratory. As a generalist, you will:

Independently evaluate the validity of test results before reporting.
Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
Communicate with healthcare teams (physicians, pathologists, nursing staff) regarding test procedures and results.

Monday to Friday – 7am-4pm

Responsibilities

Seeking applicants with at least 2-3 years experience performing micro, including full ID and workups for urine, throat, wound, and blood cultures. Instrumentation includes Microscan DXM 1040 (Walkaway) system, so familiarity with that is highly desired.

Qualifications

Experience with EPIC system
Familiarity with Vitros, Unity, and WellSky laboratory systems
ASCP Specialty certifications
Bilingual in Spanish preferred
BS in Medical Technology
ASCP – MLS Certification
