The Clinical Laboratory Technologist is responsible for performing advanced technical and scientific testing in a high-complexity CLIA-certified laboratory. This role requires mastery of multiple methodologies, instruments, and analytical workflows, with a strong emphasis on quality, documentation, and regulatory compliance. The technologist will support clinical, research, and diagnostic testing while contributing to continuous quality improvement and operational excellence.
Shift: Monday to Friday, 9am start
Pay: up to $90,000

Perform molecular and immunocytochemistry-based assays in a high-complexity CLIA laboratory, including:
Tumor Cell Enumeration (TCE)
Immunocytochemistry (ICC)
Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization (FISH)
Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS)
Analyze, evaluate, and document test results in accordance with laboratory policies, quality standards, and accreditation requirements.
Review and release patient results with appropriate oversight; assist colleagues with complex procedures and result interpretation as needed.
Accurately document all testing activities, quality control, and workflows to maintain audit-ready records.
Participate in inspections and audits conducted by accrediting and regulatory agencies.
Perform routine quality control reviews, identify deviations, investigate issues, and document corrective actions.
Support quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives in accordance with established protocols.
Conduct preventive maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and minor repairs of laboratory instruments.
Support specimen collection, processing, accessioning, tracking, and transport as required.
Assist with inventory management and cost-effective use of laboratory resources.
Utilize laboratory information systems (LIS) and related computer systems in compliance with departmental procedures.
Train and orient new laboratory personnel on procedures, instrumentation, and workflows.
Follow laboratory safety policies, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and use PPE appropriately.
Demonstrate strong customer service skills through professional communication and effective issue resolution.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support laboratory operations and team objectives.
Strong knowledge of molecular and cellular biology within a high-complexity CLIA laboratory environment.
Demonstrated experience performing complex molecular and cellular assays, including quantitative techniques such as PCR and real-time PCR.
Experience with ICC, FISH, cell-based assays, or NGS preferred.
Ability to follow validated procedures, interpret quality control data, and troubleshoot assays in a regulated setting.
Familiarity with assay validation, verification, and stability studies is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail, documentation skills, and ability to work effectively in a team-based laboratory environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related life science field required.
Master’s or doctoral degree in a relevant scientific discipline preferred but not required.
Minimum of one year of hands-on experience in a high-complexity clinical or molecular laboratory preferred.
Experience with molecular, cellular, or immunocytochemistry-based assays in a regulated laboratory environment preferred.
Completion of required laboratory training and demonstrated competency for assigned testing areas in accordance with CLIA.
Ability to meet ongoing continuing education and competency assessment requirements.
