Role Overview

A well-established reproductive health laboratory is seeking an experienced Andrology Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations within its Andrology department. This role is ideal for a hands-on laboratory professional with strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and a solid understanding of regulatory compliance in a high-complexity clinical environment.

The Andrology Supervisor will oversee laboratory workflows, manage and train staff, and ensure all testing and procedures are performed in accordance with regulatory and accreditation standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, technically strong, and motivated to lead a specialized laboratory team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and oversee semen analysis, including morphology assessment

  • Process specimens for insemination and assisted reproductive procedures

  • Manage sperm cryopreservation and storage processes

  • Conduct reproductive hormone testing using automated analyzers

  • Perform routine urinalysis testing

  • Ensure proper instrument maintenance, calibration, and quality control

  • Oversee daily laboratory operations and staff scheduling

  • Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations

  • Lead laboratory inspections and audits, including CLIA oversight

  • Train, mentor, and evaluate junior staff through competency and proficiency programs

  • Serve as a qualified laboratory supervisor under CLIA regulations

  • Perform additional duties as required to support laboratory operations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a life science required
    (Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology preferred)

  • Minimum of one year of supervisory or leadership experience

  • Prior experience in a fertility or reproductive laboratory strongly preferred

  • ASCP certification preferred

  • Must meet CLIA qualifications to function as a laboratory supervisor

  • Strong organizational, communication, and team leadership skills
