The CT Technologist performs high-quality computerized tomography (CT) scans to produce diagnostic images of the body. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a caring demeanor when working with patients and clinical staff.
Obtain patient history, explain procedures, and address questions or concerns.
Perform CT scans of specific body areas as outlined in departmental protocols.
Conduct gynecological, abdominal, and retroperitoneal scans.
Administer IV contrast material when appropriate.
Ensure all exam orders are reviewed and approved by a Radiologist prior to testing.
Submit completed exams and required documentation to Radiologists for interpretation.
Follow all patient and technologist safety standards during imaging procedures.
Maintain quality control procedures and uphold imaging standards.
Display compassion and professionalism when interacting with patients.
Assist with phone calls, scheduling, and collecting patient coinsurance when needed.
Keep the CT department clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain all certifications and licenses.
Protect patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Demonstrate teamwork, accountability, and a commitment to excellence.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Completion of an ARRT Certification program from an AMA-accredited school.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a comprehensive radiology department.
Valid Florida Radiologic Technologist license.
Venipuncture certification required.
Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, and use hands.
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally.
Strong communication, judgment, and problem-solving skills essential.
Requires the ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure.
Full-time position in an outpatient medical office setting.
Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Flexibility for occasional overtime based on department needs.
