Clinical Laboratory Scientist

The Clinical Laboratory Scientist plays a pivotal role in managing all aspects of hematology, coagulation, chemistry, and immunoassay testing. The primary objective is to achieve optimal accuracy in sample processing. Key duties include adhering to safety protocols, compliance with laboratory practices, sample processing, troubleshooting, and maintaining productivity/quality standards. Effective communication within the team and management is essential.

Clinical Laboratory Technologist or Technician

We are seeking (10) Clinical Laboratory Technician or Technologist to carry out various laboratory procedures essential for processing biological samples for next-generation sequencing (NGS). Your work will include tasks such as sample accessioning, extraction, library preparation, sequencing, and quality control, all performed under the guidance of laboratory leadership. Collaboration within the clinical team is key to ensuring efficient and high-quality results for our clients and patients. Preferred: Next-Gen Sequencing and Manual Hybrid Capture experience   We are not accepting applicants that need sponsorship at this time.

Cytotechnologist

This role involves conducting microscopic evaluations of cellular specimens from various body systems. The professional identifies and distinguishes between normal, abnormal, and malignant cells, using expertise to detect changes that may indicate conditions like cancer, infection, or inflammation. Clear and accurate reports are generated for each evaluation, and assistance is provided to physicians during fine needle aspiration procedures. Specimen preparation for microscopic analysis is also part of the responsibilities.

Pathology Assistant

A Pathologist Assistant (PA) is involved in the dissection and preparation of tissue samples for further analysis. They place tissue specimens into cassettes for processing, which includes embedding, staining, and microscopic examination. They also assign codes to specimens for tracking purposes. This role includes following established protocols, particularly with breast and other tissue specimens, and guiding residents, fellows, and medical students in lab procedures and specimen photography. Additionally, PAs are responsible for handling urgent frozen section procedures, which involve quickly processing tissue samples during surgeries. They also contribute to maintaining educational resources, such as specimen catalogs and a tissue bank, and perform radiographic imaging of various specimen types. Weekend and off-site coverage is often part of the role, handled on a rotational basis.

Medical Laboratory Scientist (Days, Nights, Evenings)

Conducts and reports a variety of analyses from multiple specimen sources, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and satisfaction. Demonstrates the necessary qualifications to care for patients in the specific age range of their assigned clinical area. Maintains expected productivity levels while efficiently managing multiple tasks and processes. Completes assignments promptly, handles specimens accurately, and verifies identification and specimen suitability. Adheres to proper accessioning procedures and identifies discrepancies in patient orders, resolving and documenting issues as appropriate. Performs and logs instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality control measures. Replenishes reagents and supplies in line with established protocols. Follows standardized reporting procedures—whether computerized, verbal, or manual—as required. Proficiently navigates and utilizes multiple computer applications essential for job performance. Assists in training and orienting new team members and participates in ongoing educational activities to stay updated in the field. Successful completion of initial and ongoing competency assessments is required. Work is typically carried out in a clinical setting. Responsible for meeting all job-specific responsibilities and adhering to organizational policies and procedures. CLS Toxicology LC/MS

  • Experience in toxicology is essential.
  • Strong background in analytical chemistry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SCIEX Mass Spectrometer instruments and SciexOS software is a significant advantage; experience with data analysis in MultiQuant or Analyst software is also acceptable. Understanding of parent/metabolite relationships is important.
  • Ability to identify false peaks in LC/MS analysis.
  • Proficiency with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
  • Ability to independently review and report test results.
  • Willingness to learn and perform mass finding steps for method development is beneficial.
  • Willingness to learn and perform mass spectrometer tuning is a plus.
