Responsibilities
Oversee and perform a variety of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) procedures, including oocyte retrieval, IVF, embryo evaluation, cryopreservation, and thawing.
Prepare culture dishes and solutions using sterile techniques for ART procedures.
Conduct quality control tests and proficiency assessments as required by regulatory agencies.
Manage specimen handling, ensuring proper identification and safety in line with laboratory protocols.
Participate in documentation and quality assurance activities, ensuring adherence to high standards.
Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring it meets operational standards.
Assist with the training of junior lab staff and contribute to research projects under the guidance of the IVF Laboratory Director.
Communicate effectively with medical staff, patients, and external partners to maintain high-quality care.
Ensure the laboratory complies with OSHA, CLIA ‘88, and other regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or a related field.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience, with 3-5 years preferred.
Preferred certifications: American Board of Bioanalysis in Embryology and Andrology, and California CLS license with ASCP certification if applicable.
Proficiency with laboratory operations, equipment, and office procedures.
Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
